Move strengthens its position in Europe and worldwide.

The Italian group, Fomas, has acquired the French operation, Ovako La Foulerie, formerly part of the Swedish Group SKF. Fomas is a worldwide leader in open-die forging and ring rolling for the power generation, oil and gas, and transmission markets, with operating units in Italy and India.

Operating units based in Italy are Fomas, producing open die forgings, and Asfo and Hot Roll, producing large and medium-to-small size rolled rings. Bay Forge, a major player in the South Asian markets for open die forgings and in the ring rolling business, is based in India.

Headquartered in Milan, the Group operates in over 20 countries through two divisions, with about 700 employees, and has a global turnover of almost 200 millions euros.
