Lincoln Forge Announces TS-16949 Certification

New forging cell is slated for later this year

Lincoln Forge, a closed die impression forger located in Wyandotte, MI, has announced their successful certification to TS-16949:2002.

Monica Magnusson, vice president business operations, states, “TS was difficult to obtain, but worth it. It has made us a better company and we see the benefits every day through our measurables.”

Since 1962, this family-owned business has adjusted its operations to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry. Obtaining TS certification was one of many areas Lincoln identified as necessary for remaining a viable competitor in this tough industry. Lincoln has aggressively implemented some of the latest manufacturing techniques: 5S, Six Sigma, and various lean manufacturing tools. These continuous improvements have led to strong growth for Lincoln and it will add a new forging cell complete with induction heat in 2004 to meet new demand.
