Expanded Ring-Groove Cutter Line

Ring Max II cutters use fewer components Two-piece modular system Machine multiple API ring-groove sizes

GREENLEAF CORPORATION, a manufacturer of indexable tooling, carbide and ceramic cutting tools, now offers an expanded line of Ring Max ring groove cutters. Designed specifically for oil-and-gas industry, Greenleaf's Ring Max ring groove tooling is engineered to finish machine API ring grooves in less than one minute of cut time.

The new Ring Max II cutters have been designed to use fewer components for even greater dimensional accuracy and repeatability from groove to groove. Their unique design ensures accurate seating and secure locking of the insert cartridge into the cutter body.

All Ring Max line cutter bodies and components are precision machined to exacting tolerances, eliminating the need for tool adjustments. This streamlined design simplifies cutter maintenance through the use of clamp and locking components that are common to all Ring Max II and Ring Max III tools.

The Ring Max III design includes all of the enhancements of the Ring Max II in a high-precision, two-piece modular system. Ring Max III offers many head and shank configurations, including adaptability to Greenleaf’s Excelerator® face mills. Greenleaf’s Ring Max III line delivers an economical and flexible solution for any shop machining multiple API ring groove sizes.

Standard Ring Max features and benefits include: roughing and finishing of BX, R, and RX API ring grooves in Inconel 625 clad overlay in less than one minute; adjustable and replaceable cartridge design for easy maintenance; machining the groove and chamfers in one operation; and the availability for grooving in stainless and alloy steel

Greenleaf’s Ring Max systems offer a powerful productivity boost to companies machining ring grooves in difficult-to-machine materials.
