Lots of grades and sizes
Werner Weitner is a processor of automotive tooling and engineering steels that cuts a range of steel and specialty steels, but also aluminum and plastics, in lot sizes from prototypes to high volumes.
The KASTOwin pro AC 5.6 high-performance bandsaw installed at Werner Weitner, in Eichstätt, Germany.
Bimetallic and carbide blades
The fully automatic saw is optimized for use with bimetallic and carbide blades, achieving short cutting times and long service life.
Thanks to the powerful coolant pump and the large coolant tank, the saw blades also are protected even with difficult-to-machine materials.
The cutting range of the KASTOwin is 560 mm. Werner Weitner uses the saw mainly for material diameters of 100 to 350 mm.
The KASTOwin pro is driven by a frequency-controlled 11-kW motor that delivers ample power for carbide saw blades.
The material to be sawn is placed manually or by means of an overhead crane on a roller track, which feeds it to the machine.
The EasyControl controller enables intuitive operation of the machine via the display. All parameters can be matched to the type of blade being used.
